Four unidentified bike-borne miscreants allegedly looted Rs 60,000 from a businessman after attacking him with a knife at Tileibani block headquarters in Deogarh district on Tuesday. 

The injured businessman, identified as Kuna Nayak of Khaparasahi under the Deogarh municipality area, is undergoing treatment at Deogarh District Headquarters Hospital (DHH). He is stated to be out of danger. 

According to a source, Kuna runs a grocery wholesale business. On Tuesday, he had gone to the Tileibani weekly market to collect money from the businessmen who buy grocery items from him on credit. As he was collecting money, four unidentified bike-borne youths, aged between 18 and 30, came from nowhere and intimidated Kuna and others by wielding a pistol. Subsequently, they attacked Kuna with a knife and fled from the spot after snatching Rs 60,000 from him. 

A severely injured Kuna was rescued and rushed to Deogarh District Headquarters Hospital (DHH). 

Acting on a complaint in this regard, Deogarh Police has launched an investigation and a manhunt for the miscreants.
