In yet another incident of fire, a 37-year-old woman, sustained severe burn injuries in Pipili on Wednesday. The victim has been identified as Archana Das.

According to sources, Archana was a tenant at Naveen Nivas near Jaypur Chhak. She was initially rushed to Pipili Hospital and later shifted to Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar with an estimated 60% burns. Meanwhile, the cause of the blaze remains unknown.

Pipili Police have reached the spot and begun an investigation.

This incident comes amid other recent fire-related tragedies in Odisha. An FM College student in Balasore died after allegedly setting herself on fire. In Puri, a minor girl also died in similar suspicious circumstances.

The rising cases of deaths related to fire has become a matter of serious concerns.
