Akash Ambani at Puri Jagannath Temple
Akash Ambani, the elder son of industrialist Mukesh Ambani and chairman of Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited, visited Lord Jagannath Temple in Puri on Thursday.
According to sources, the visit came shortly after the completion of the Banakalagi ritual at the temple. During his visit, Ambani took part in the aarti and witnessed the revered Bada Singhar Besha.
As per temple tradition, Akash Ambani was presented with a Khandua, a sacred handwoven cloth offered as a mark of honour, near the Singhadwara.
Reports also added that, considering the high-profile visit, the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration and Odisha Police deployed extensive security to manage crowds and ensure a smooth darshan.
The Puri temple visit is seen as part of Akash Ambani's ongoing spiritual journey. Earlier this month, he was seen at the Dwarkadhish Temple in Gujarat with his wife Shloka Mehta, children Prithvi and Veda, and father Mukesh Ambani. The family also recently visited the Parmarth Niketan in Rishikesh.
Akash Ambani’s visit to Puri also came a day before the Mumbai Indians’ match against the Gujarat Titans in the ongoing IPL 2025 season. The team, owned by the Ambani family, has advanced to the eliminator round scheduled for May 30.
