An 11-year-old girl was allegedly subjected to inhumane torture after being engaged as a domestic help in the Capital City Bhubaneswar. The matter came to light after the minor girl with multiple injuries was dumped along the road in Nayapalli area. 

As per sources, the girl was engaged as a domestic help in a house in Salia Sahi area in the city. However, the employer and his family members allegedly tortured her regularly. 

It was alleged that she was beaten up with iron rods leading to multiple fractures. After the inhumane assault, she was dumped along the road by her employer on Tuesday. 

Some passersby spotted the girl writhing in pain along the road and contacted the Childline members. The Childline members immediately rescued the girl and admitted her to Capital Hospital. 

The Childline members lodged a complaint following which the accused employer has been arrested. 

The minor girl is the third child of one Pramila Nayak, who has been estranged by her husband. 

“The house owner assured to enroll my daughter in school and bear all her expenses. I was unaware that he subjected my daughter to inhuman torture. She walked home unsteadily and told me that her employer thrashed her,” said Pramila. 

“She told me that they used to beat up her regularly, but the intensity of the assault was severe on that day. After beating her, they abandoned her halfway,” she added. She emanded justice for her daughter.
