Odisha student attends Pariksha Pe Charcha, says PM Modi’s words help conquer exam stress

Odisha's Preeti Biswal met PM Narendra Modi at Pariksha Pe Charcha 2024, gaining insights on tackling exam stress. She was felicitated in Jharsuguda and shared her experience with peers.

A class 10 student from Odisha, Preeti Biswal, met Prime Minister Narendra Modi during “Pariksha Pe Charcha”, an initiative by PM Modi to address problems faced by students during exams. 

Preeti, who hails from Jharsuguda was selected to attend the programme among other students. Despite working hard and making efforts, she did not succeed in her examinations. During the session, answering her question on how to not feel stressed, PM Modi shared valuable insights to help students cope with such challenges.

Following her return to Odisha after meeting PM Modi, she was felicitated by Jharsuguda MLA Tankadhar Tripathy and Collector Aboli Sunil Narvane at District Mineral Fund Conference Hall. She was further invited to share her experience of interacting with PM Modi with fellow students. Preeti mentioned that PM Modi advised her and other students to treat exams like festivals and not fear them.

In an exclusive interview with OTV, Preeti shared her experience and insights on how she is going to deal with her examinations and encouraged other students to take heed of PM Modi’s advice on how to tackle problems related to Board Exams, as well as other tests.

Was The Meeting With PM Modi Inspiring For Students?

Sharing her happiness Preeti said, “Yes, I was very happy to have the opportunity to meet PM Modi. It was not just me, but every student who received the chance to meet with the PM felt immense happiness. Sir is very inspiring and shared very valuable insights on how to not feel stressed during exams. Ahead of Board Exams, the tips shared by PM Modi were very helpful as I am going to implement them. Be it any exam from now onwards, I am going to treat them like festivals and not be scared of them.”

Do Students Feel Stressed During Their Examinations?

Answering this, Preeti shared her personal experience and said, “Yes, I used to feel stressed but after meeting with PM Modi, my stress has somewhat subsided. It is not necessary for students to feel stressed, which many of us fail to understand. I used to feel the same way but from now onwards, I will try my best to not feel stressed. I will also participate in some co-curricular activities which will help me to keep my mind clear.”

Classmates’ And Friends’ Reaction To Preeti’s Meeting With PM Modi:

Talking about the reactions of her friends and classmates, Preeti shared, “After I returned, the video of the event “Pariksha Pe Charcha” was played for everyone to see. It was not just the meeting with PM Modi which was inspiring but also the interaction with the rest of the students that attended the programme. I got to meet talents from each state and learned a lot from them. My friends were fascinated to learn about my audience with PM Modi and students from other states.”
