Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Former CMs to Union Ministers in the fray in 6th phase of polling

The prominent candidates in the fray include two former Chief Ministers - Manohar Lal Khattar and Mehbooba Mufti. While Khattar is contesting as the BJP candidate from Karnal, Mehbooba Mufti is fighting the election as the PDP candidate from Anantnag-Rajouri. 

Key candidates in fray for 6th phase of polling

Polling is taking place in 58 Lok Sabha seats across six states and two union territories in the sixth and the penultimate round of the mammoth General elections in the country on Saturday. The Election Commission of India (ECI) has made all kinds of arrangements to ensure smooth and peaceful polling.

A total of 889 candidates are in the fray in the sixth phase of polling. Polling is taking place at eight seats in Bihar, all 10 seats in Haryana, one seat in Jammu and Kashmir, four in Jharkhand, all seven seats in Delhi, six in Odisha, 14 in Uttar Pradesh, and eight in West Bengal during the phase.
