Lies of Pakistan exposed again: Watch how Pak army’s ISPR used edited video to claim missile attack

In yet another episode of brazen misinformation, the Pakistani military has been exposed for circulating doctored video footage in an attempt to claim a fabricated missile strike on Indian territory.

The misleading act, which involved editing a clip originally aired on an Indian news channel, has drawn strong condemnation from Indian authorities, media, and citizens who have termed it a ‘shameless lie’ by Islamabad.

The video in question was presented by the Pakistan Army's Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) wing during an official briefing. It allegedly showed a missile strike by Pakistan on an Indian Air Force base in Sirsa, Haryana.

However, the footage had been deliberately trimmed to misrepresent the facts. The original broadcast by the Indian news channel clearly illustrated an Indian missile defence system successfully intercepting the projectile mid-air, with the debris falling harmlessly in open fields.

India's Fact-Check Machinery Debunks Pakistani Disinformation

India's Press Information Bureau (PIB) was quick to counter the misinformation. In a public rebuttal issued through its Fact Check Unit, PIB posted the full unedited footage alongside the edited version shown by Pakistan.

The post on social media platform X clarified: "In its media briefing, the DG ISPR of Pakistan used a small part of a full video clip of Aaj Tak News Channel to claim an Indian airfield has been destroyed. This is an attempt by #Pakistan to mislead its own people by producing doctored footage as evidence."

The Indian government has maintained that all Pakistani missile and drone attacks in the recent escalation were neutralised by Indian air defence forces.

Multiple independent OSINT platforms, as well as visuals shared by local authorities, confirm that the remnants of Pakistani missiles were recovered in agricultural areas in Haryana, far from any strategic military installation.

This false claim is part of a larger effort by the Pakistani military to cover up its tactical and strategic setbacks during the recent exchanges.

Lies for Loans: How Pakistan Gained an IMF Bailout Amidst Falsehoods

The controversy comes amid international scrutiny of Pakistan's conduct after it recently secured a USD 1 billion loan tranche from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) based on claims of internal stability and defence restraint, claims that now stand contradicted by its own terrorism sponsorship and false propaganda.

Pattern of Propaganda

This incident is not isolated. Pakistan has a long record of engaging in digital misinformation, often using fabricated videos, photoshopped images, and anonymous social media handles to spread fake narratives, especially during times of military or diplomatic embarrassment.

Pakistan's latest attempt to distort facts using an edited Indian news broadcast has once again backfired, laying bare its reliance on deception to mask military failures.
