A B.Tech student at Gudlavalleru Engineering College in Andhra Pradesh has been arrested for allegedly installing hidden cameras in the girls' hostel washrooms and selling over 300 videos. The incident, which occurred in Krishnan district, led to a midnight protest by outraged students demanding justice. Vijay Kumar, the accused final year student, is currently under police custody.

A disturbing incident has come to the fore at an engineering college in Andhra Pradesh, where a B.Tech student allegedly installed hidden cameras in the girls' hostel washrooms and sold hundreds of videos.

The B. Tech final year student recorded the videos and sold it to other students, it was learnt. The incident has been reported at Gudlavalleru Engineering College in Krishnan district. The incident sparked outrage as hundreds of students staged a midnight protest after discovering the hidden cameras.

Angry students staged protests using torch lights on their mobile phones and chanted ‘we want justice’. The protest continued till late 3 am in the morning with the chants of ‘we want justice’ echoing through the campus. 

Angry students even attacked the accused identified as Vijay Kumar, a final year B. Tech student. As per the preliminary report, the accused student has been arrested while police have seized his laptop and cell phone to extract more information.

According to reports, over 300 photos and videos from the women's hostel washroom have been leaked till now. The accused sold the videos to his fellow students, reports said. It was not clear if he had sold the videos to some pornographic sites.

Meanwhile, the presence of the hidden cameras has left the female students shaken who are now fearing to even use the washroom facilities, with some even leaving the hostel altogether. They demanded answers and accountability from the college authorities.
