Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has decided to provide oxygen concentrators to Covid-19 patients, who have opted to remain under home treatment, at their doorsteps.
The newly appointed BMC Commissioner Sanjay Singh said that the service will start in the Capital City from Monday.
The State government has therefore provided 100 oxygen concentrators to the BMC. The Call Centre employees have been trained to explain the people about oxygen concentrators.

"The Odisha government has supplied 100 oxygen concentrators to the BMC. We have also developed an App for Covid-infected people who are under home treatment. They can book oxygen concentrators through the Application and the BMC will provide the oxygen concentrators at their homes. The service will be launched on Monday," informed Singh.
The BMC has started a massive drive to inoculate people in different groups in the last 15 days.
The BMC will be launching a special drive to administer the second dose of Covaxin to beneficiaries in the age group of 18 to 44 years. It will start a special drive from June 8 to 9 at different vaccination centres in the Capital City for those who had received the first dose on May 3, 4 and 5.
"Those between the age group of 18 and 44, who had received the first dose of Covaxin, will be administered the second dose on a priority basis on time," said Singh.
Similarly, a special drive has also been launched by the municipal corporation today to administer the second dose of the vaccine to the frontline warriors in the city.
