Actress arrested for forcing models into prostitution

Mumbai police busted a high-profile sex racket on Friday night and arrested a Bhojpuri actress in this connection.

As per an India Today report, the actress, identified as Suman Kumari, was taken into custody after a raid by the social services section of the police.

The police said the raid was conducted at Royal Palm Hotel in the Aarey Colony neighbourhood. The police dispatched a woman with a fake name to the hotel in an effort to apprehend the offenders. The actress was reportedly duped into accepting the offer.

She was apprehended by the police as she negotiated a payment between Rs 50,000 and Rs 80,000 for each model.

The actress is currently in police custody, and investigations are ongoing to identify and apprehend other persons involved in the sex racket. The police have expressed concern over the growing trend of such high-profile sex rackets and urged the public to report any suspicious activities immediately.

According to the police, Bhojpuri actress Suman Kumari (24) supplies models who come to Mumbai to make a career in films and were struggling to get money. Suman Kumari contacted them and forced them into prostitution, the police said.

Actress Suman Kumari has worked in many Bhojpuri films including Laila Majnu. She played the role of a broker in a high-profile sex racket. Apart from Laila Majnu, she has also done Bhojpuri comedy shows like Bap Numbri Beta Dus Numbri. In addition to this, the actress has also worked on the Boom OTT channel.
