More disclosures about Raj Kundra’s adult movie empire are coming out with each passing day after the Mumbai police Crime Branch arrested the businessman and husband of Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty on Monday.
A distant Odia link with Raj Kundra’s sleaze enterprise has come to the fore as the probe intensified.
It is learnt that an Odia model-actor, Shakespeare Tripathy, had worked with Kundra and acted in two of his films, Page-3 and Sur Tal, which were released on the Hot Shots app.
However, the Odia actor has clarified that there were no adult scenes in the two movies he had acted in.
“I have been working in Mumbai since long. But there were no work due to Covid-19 induced lockdown. When I came across Kundra’s app, which was booming then, I thought of trying my hands,” Tripathy said.
“Raj Kundra was our brand. I am shocked at the arrest of the business tycoon,” the actor said.
Asked about the adult content Kundra's films have been accused of, the Odia actor said, “There were no such bad scenes in the movies in which I have worked. However, there were lots of love-making scenes in the movies and I don’t know if they are illegal. I was completely ignorant about his adult film industry.”
Thousands of people from Odisha approached me for work in the industry. However, I never replied to them, Tripathy said.
