Even after economic slowdown and inflation due to unprecedented Covid-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdown and shutdown, Prime Minister Narendra Modi still remains the favourite of the people of India.
According to a survey- Mood of the Nation conducted by India Today and C-Voter, PM Modi’s popularity remains far ahead of his political rival.
If the polls were held on August 1, then PM Modi-led NDA government would have won 307 seats, while UPA and others would have won in 125, 111 seats respectively, the poll suggested.
However, if the polls would be held after the Bihar political drama, the NDA would have won 286 seats, the polls revealed adding that UPA would have got 146 seats.
On the other hand, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik again emerged as the number one CM with 78% popularity followed by Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma with 63 per cent popularity and Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin with 61 per cent popularity.
“The ongoing developmental projects since 1999 Super Cyclone have helped Odisha to emerge as the number one state in the country. From Covid-19 management to organising Hockey World Cup, our CM has taken the leadership to a next level and becoming the number of CM,” said BJD MLA Sushant Rout.
“We are only working for the national interest and it does not matter who come first or second. PM Modi is working for Aatma Nirbhar Bharat and entire nation is supporting him,” State BJP president Samir Mohanty said.
