In a tragic incident, a man from Balasore district of Odisha has left his home in secrecy claiming suffering from an incurable disease. The man identified as Utam Kumar Panda is a resident of Sarisa village under Nampo police station in Balasore.
As per reports, Panda worked as a laboratory assistant in a medicine company in Haryana. He had returned to his village just two days before going untraceable. However, he had left the village on Monday leaving a letter for his family members.
In a touching letter, which he is said to have left behind for his family, Panda has mentioned that he has been suffering from a terminal disease for the past few years and hence he is leaving home as he does not want to put them with any burden.
“I have been suffering from a chronic disease which is not curable as it is has reached an advanced stage. I am leaving home and my family members shouldn’t be worried and burdened for me,” the letter read.
“My savings should be spent on my one-year-old daughter’s study rather than on my treatment. Please don’t misunderstand me or search for me,” the emotional note by Panda read.
Meanwhile, after receiving the letter, the anxious family members of Panda have lodged a missing report at Nampo police station. They have also launched a frantic search to trace his whereabouts in Jaleswar area.
“My son has not returned home since yesterday. We have no option left but to file a missing complaint in the police station. Hopefully, police will help us find him,” pleaded Panda’s father Rajkishore.
