In the wake of deteriorating health condition, mother of Mamita Meher, Tulasi has been shifted to a hospital in Visakhapatnam for advanced treatment on Saturday after she complained of severe chest pain.

As per reports, Tulasi had been reeling under stress after her daughter Mamita, the lady teacher at Sunshine English Medium School in Mahaling area of Kalahandi went missing for several days. Her health condition deteriorated after the revelation of her murder. Tulasi is said to have been under severe mental duress since then.

On Saturday, she complained of severe pain in her chest and also lost consciousness several times. Following that, she was taken to a nearby hospital and was later forwarded to Visakhapatnam by the doctor for advanced treatment, said sources.

As reported earlier, on October 8, 24-year-old Mamita left for Mahaling from her village Jharni and was received the president of the managing committee of her school Gobinda Sahu near Sindhikela. Later, her family failed to contact her as she went missing for several days until the missing teacher's brother alleged involvement of Sahu behind the case.

Soon after an FIR was lodged against Sahu, police interrogated him regarding the case on October 13. But, Sahu fled from police custody.
Later in a sensational revelation, Kalahandi Police exhumed the charred remains of a body from an under-construction stadium near the school campus.

The body was later established as Mamita's after Sahu who was nabbed by Bolangir Police two days later confessed to killing and burying the body of the teacher at the said spot.
