Lady blackmailer Archana Nag and his husband Jagabandhu Chand met each other at Jharpada jail in Bhubaneswar on Sunday.

The couple was allowed to meet for 15 minutes in presence of the jail warder and a staff. However, it is not clear what actually the duo discussed.

Notably, on charges of honey trapping big-wigs and collecting huge amounts of money from them, the Commisionerate of Police had arrested Archana on October 6 and her husband on October 22.

While it is doubted that Jagabandhu has done away with the proofs in the period leading to his arrest, it is also discussed that the police’s investigation would have taken these angles into consideration.

Accusing the police of dilly-dallying the investigation, the state unit of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has launched an indefinite strike in front of the Commissionerate Police office. The strike entered into second day today.

The party leaders are critical of the Commissionerate Police while accusing it of shielding the persons involved in the high-profile sex racket.

BJP leader Dillip Mohanty said, “We are sitting on the road for justice to people. We have two demands. First one is to bring Minister Samir Dash into the purview of the investigation in connection with Dharmendra Sahu suicide case and the second is that we feel the investigation in Archana Nag case is losing direction.”

Another BJP leader Babu Singh alleged that the police are aware of the fact that some police officers, officers, leaders and ministers are involved in the case.

“They are afraid of the facts that the secret once out would topple the government. Police arrested Jagabandhu only after he destroyed all the evidence. Our strike will continue till our demands are met.”
