Dhenkanal: Son of former MLA Nabin Nanda, Sambit today passed away while undergoing treatment for his lungs infection at a private hospital in Cuttack.
Sambit was admitted to Aswini Hospital in Cuttack in personal interference of Health secretary PK Mohapatra on Friday night, Naveen had informed through a tweet.
However, Sambit’s condition deteriorated and required Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) as he did not respond to non-invasive ventilator.

Meanwhile, BJP national vice-president Baijayant Panda expressed grief over the untimely demise of Sambit, whom he termed as a ‘rising star’ in a tweet.
Deeply grieved to learn of the passing of @justsambit son of former odisha MLA @NabinNanda Ji. A youth leader with a clean heart, good intentions & outstanding organising ability, Sambit was a rising star, cut down too early, a terrible loss.
