Now travelling to the Pink City Jaipur from the temple city of Bhubaneswar and vice-versa will be much convenient and hassle-free as IndiGO airlines will start direct flight services from November 2, 2021.

This was informed by Union Civil Aviation Minister, Jyotiraditya Scindia in a letter to Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Earlier, Pradhan had written to Scindia in September urging the latter to start direct flight operation between the two cities.

The airline company will operate flight services between Bhubaneswar and Jaipur with three frequencies per week from next month.

“M/s Indigo is commencing flights between Bhubaneswar and Jaipur with three frequencies per week w.e.f November 2, 2021,” the Union Civil Aviation Minister’s letter read.

It is pertinent to mention here that the Odisha Government has extended the initial incentive to the airline for commencement of the referred route.

“I hope that the connectivity between Temple City, Bhubaneswar and Pink City, Jaipur would not only enhance tourist footfall but would also provide a boost to economic activities in both the states,” wrote Scindia  in his letter.

Earlier, a lot of travellers, as well as devotees, were facing problems due to lack of direct flight connectivity between the Bhubaneswar and Jaipur in Rajasthan.
