A woman and her son who went missing from Balichandrapur market under Jajpur district on October 12, were found in an unconscious condition at Saraipali, under Mahasamund district of Chhattisgarh on Friday.

A team from Balichandrapur Police station, which had left for Saraipali following information about the finding of the duo, brought them back to Jajpur on Friday.

As per reports, Subhalaxmi Mishra and her son, Anshuman Mishra, residents of Krushnapur Sasan went missing from Balichandrapur market in the evening of October 12 when they were out for shopping.

An FIR was subsequently registered with the Police in this connection in the same evening after which the cops launched an investigation to ascertain the whereabouts of the Mother and the son. Following an all out search, the duo was finally traced to Chhattisgarh after 3 days.

Sources said both were unconscious with their heads shaved when the Police spotted them at Saraipali.

Giving details of the disappearance, Subhrajit Mishra, one of the family members said, "My sister and nephew went to the market on October 12. When they did not return till late in the night we searched for them everywhere before lodging an FIR at the Police Station."

"I suspect they had been kidnapped by the brother-in-law of my sister over a property dispute," alleged Subhrajit.

Both, Subhalaxmi and her son have been admitted to a hospital in jajpur where they are currently under treatment. The Police is slated to record their statement once they recovered.
