Every child is special in some way or the other and we just need to identify their talent. While kids with incredible skills were not identified earlier, tiny tots at an early age these days are accomplishing unimaginable feats and making their presence felt thanks to arrival of digital media. They have literally proved the famous adage ‘Big things come in small package’. Let’s meet some such talents who have made Odisha and their parents proud with their skills.
Dibyanshi Ray, who hails from Biribati village in Jagatsinghpur district, has made her way to India Book of Record at the age just two years and nine months. Be it names of flowers, fruits or animals, she can answer everything even before you finish your question. Also, she is damn good at general awareness. She lost her father when she was six months old. Her mother Swarnaprava Jena is looking after her study.
Swarnaprava said, “When she was only 8-month-old, I observed that she has sharp memory. Accordingly, I guided her to know new things. Then, she was unable to speak but could identify things.”
Attributing Dibyanshi’s success to Swarnaprava, her uncle said, “Aditi easily remembers things at one go. Keeping this in mind, her mother trained her further.”
Similarly, Cuttack-based Aditi Priyadarshini at the age of two years and eight months got place in India Book of Records for reciting Sanskrit sholkas. Apart from that, she can easily identify animals and say names of 12 months and seasons without a pause.
Her father Akshay Pal said, “Aditi easily remembers names of days, name of months both in Odia and English, names of animals apart from chanting various sholkas. My wife made her learn all these things.”
“She has a sharp memory. I noticed that she could easily remember things when she was barely one. Thus, I made her remember days’ names, seasons’ names and sholkas. She has made our family proud of her,” said Aditi’s mother Diptimayee Patra.
