Archaeologists unearth remains of 2,500 years old civilisation in Odisha’s Balasore

In a significant development, archaeological excavation undertaken at Durgadevi village of coastal Balasore district has discovered remains of a 2,500 years old civilisation.

Earlier in 2019-20, excavations had revealed a circular mud fortification in the 4.9 km radius of the village which is surrounded by rivers Sona on south and Budhabalanga on north-east.
