Homemade Cleanser

Take 2 tablespoons of honey and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice and mix the two. If the mixture is too thick, add a few drops of water. Massage your face with this potion for a few minutes. Then rinse your face. Use this cleanser every night before you go off to sleep. While honey works hard to moisturise and nourish the skin, lemon's citric acid exfoliates the skin’s dead cells and reduces lines and wrinkles.

Make that Scrub at Home

Add 1 teaspoon of honey to 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar. Mix well and apply this gently to your face using circular motions. Allow it to absorb for five minutes and then wash with water. For optimum results, use this scrub twice a week. This is an excellent scrub as it aids in retaining moisture without making the skin feel greasy.

Face Mask

Clay masks are fantastic when it comes to oily skin. They remove excess oil, and leave the skin matte-like and absolutely clean. Take 1-2 tablespoons of multani mitti, few drops of rosewater, and 3-4 drops of tea tree oil to prepare this mask. Apply the mixture to your face and let it dry for 15 to 20 minutes. Rinse it off with warm water. Use it three or four times a week for best results.

Toner

Cucumber is renowned for having a cooling and reviving effect on the skin. To prepare this toner, take a small or medium-sized cucumber and blend it using a few drops of water. Use a clean muslin cloth or strainer to filter the blended cucumber to remove any pulp or seeds. Use a cotton ball or pad to drench your face in the cucumber juice. Rinse it off after 10 to 15 minutes. Cucumber is a great skin toner and helps with a variety of other skin care issues. It facilitates pore cleaning and tightening; produces the ideal hydration your skin requires, and lessens sebum output and facial redness.
