Patchy baldness or complete baldness can affect the way you look. The worry enhances manifold if you are young and want to look good at any cost. So, can you at least slow down hair loss and delay baldness?

Know a bit more about baldness due to heredity

A study conducted by the National Center for Biotechnology Information says that the tendency to lose hair is inherited from both sides of parents and the possibility is that even the pattern of hair loss is also inherited. So, you might see a few people going bald exactly at the center of their head or a few women having bald patches on the sides.

Typically, the hair loss begins at the temple and crown and forms an M-shaped pattern as the hair growth continues to recede.

Delaying baldness

Losing hair due to heredity is unavoidable. However, what you can do is delay or even slow down this baldness process by introducing a few things in your lifestyle. Hair strands are made up of protein and hence if your diet lacks protein, it will directly support your hereditary cause of losing hair.

To slow down baldness, you must incorporate protein-rich foods such as nuts, cheese, fish, eggs, meat, and chicken.

These foods reportedly not only slow down balding but also make your hair strong and supple. Apart from that you can make sure that you comb your hair daily but gently.

Avoid doing that tight ponytail or any other hairstyle that puts too much stress on your hair. Instead, giving a regular massage to the scalp can improve blood circulation and help delay baldness.

If despite taking all the care and measures the hair loss does not slow down, it is better to seek medical advice.
