The Wildlife Institute of India (WII), a premier autonomous Institute under the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Government of India, has invited online applications to fill multiple vacancies.

The Institute plans to engage project personnel (Indian nationals only) and has invited applications for one Project Scientist- III, two Senior Project Associates and six Project Associate-I for a project on purely contractual basis.

The period of the contractual engagement will be for a period of 01 (one) year. The last date of receipt of online applications is 09.09.2021 up to 1700 hours. The personnel will be recruited for “Preparation of Integrated Wildlife Action Plan” comprising mitigation and compensating measures with landscape approach of entire forest area in Hazaribagh Wildlife Forest Division, Hazaribagh West Forest Division and Koderma Forest Division in the impact zone of the Koderma Detour of DFCCIL project.

Emoluments: Rs. 78,000 + HRA

Maximum Age: 45 Years

Senior Project Associate (Ecology): 1 post

Emoluments: Rs. 42,000 + HRA

Maximum Age: 40 Years

Senior Project Associate (GIS): 1 post

Emoluments: Rs. 42,000 + HRA

Maximum Age: 40 Years

Project Associate-I: 6 Posts

Emoluments: Rs. 31,000 + HRA

Maximum Age: 35 Years

Instructions:

The selection of the candidates will be in accordance with the performance in the interview and in order of merit as decided by the Interview Committee. Application form need to be typed according to the prescribed format and must be accompanied by:

(a) Scanned copies of educational qualifications.

(b) Scanned copies of experience letter/ certificates.

(c) A concise statement of purpose (SOP) with approximately 300-500 words (in single spacing and 12-point font).

The (SOP) should be compulsorily attached with the application stating the purpose clearly for applying to this position. Incomplete applications will be rejected. There is no specified format for the SOP, the notification read.
