The Odisha Sub-ordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC) has extended the last date of application submission for the post of Livestock Inspectors under Fisheries and Animal Resources Development Department.   

As per the latest notification of the commission, the application deadline has been extended by two days. The application process which was supposed to end on August 26 will now continue till August 28.

The Commission has also decided that the minimum qualifying marks for Gomitra candidates only shall be 20% instead of 35%.  All other terms & conditions of the advertisement remain unaltered.

A total of 565 district cadre posts of Livestock Inspector, Group-C will be filled up through the recruitment drive in various District Establishments of Director of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Service, Odisha.

Scale of Pay & Service Condition:

The appointment to the posts of livestock inspector will be on a contractual basis in the respective districts. The selected candidates while undergoing training for two years will get stipind of Rs 7,200 per month. After completion of training, they will get consolidated monthly remuneration of Rs 9,000.

Educational Qualification:

The candidate must have passed the Vocational Courses in the field of Animal Husbandry or Dairy or Poultry or Meat or Animal Production or +2 Science from a recognised Educational Institution or Board or Council or University. 
A candidate must be able to speak, read and write Odia and have passed the Middle School Examination with Odia as a language subject; passed Matriculation or equivalent examination with Odia as the medium of examination in non-language subjects; passed Odia as language subject in the final examination of Class-VII or above from a School or Educational Institution recognised by the Govemment of Odisha or Central Government; Passed a test in Odia in M.E. School Standard conducted by the School & Mass Education Department. 

Examination Fee:

No examination fee is payable for applying for the post

Plan of Examination:
There shall be written examination for 130 marks followed by physical standard measurement

Interested candidates can visit the osssc website www.osssc.gov.in and register themselves for applying for the posts. Those who have already registered earlier will have to re-register.
