SAIL Rourkela Recruitment: 261 posts available for ITI, diploma holders; check out details

The Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) is inviting applications from candidates for apprenticeship training as graduate/technician and trade apprentices for a period of one year. 

As many as 261 posts of apprentice will be filled up and residents of Sundargarh will be given preference over others, said the Steel Authority of India (SAIL) in a notice.

Trade Apprentice: 113
Technician Apprentice: 107
Graduate Apprentice: 41

Qualification (As on 30-09-2022)

Candidates Should Possess ITI/ Diploma/ Degree (Relevant Discipline).

Age Criteria

Minimum 18 years and maximum 24 years as on 30-11-2022. Age relaxation is applicable as per rules.
Stipend: The apprentices are eligible for monthly stipend as per Apprentices Act, 1961. 

Selection Process

Selection for engagement of apprentices for training would be on merit basis, considering the percentage of marks of applicants obtained in the basis prescribed qualification.

Requirement Before Filling Online Registration:

Before applying for the apprentices positions, candidates have to register themselves on online portals of the following agencies of Govt. of India: (a) For Trade Apprentices: In the link https://apprenticeshipindia.org/ (b) For Graduate/Technician Apprentices: National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) in the link https://portal.mhrdnats.gov.in.

The residents of Sundargarh district will be given preference over others. Eligible applications from other districts of Odisha and then rest of India may be considered, only if there are any vacancies left after the selection process which cannot be filled by Sundargarh district residents.
