The registration or the application submission process has begun for 3366 Apprentice posts in Eastern Railway. Vacancies in Welder (Gas and Electric), Sheet Metal Worker, Lineman, Wireman, Carpenter, Painter (General), and other trades are up for grabs now.
Eligibility: Those applying need to have completed 10th class exam or its equivalent (under 10+2 examination system) with minimum 50% marks, in aggregate, from a government recognised Board. Possession of the National Trade Certificate in the notified trade issued by NCVT/SCVT is also required.
Application Fee: Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the positions by paying an application fee of Rs 100, which is non-refundable. SC/ ST/ PWBD/ Women candidates are exempted from the fee which has to be done through online mode. For details, you can go through the official notification.

While the last date to apply for the Act Apprentice positions in the Eastern Railway is November 3, tomorrow (October 5) is the last date to apply for as many as 339 posts in the South East Central Railway (SECR).
SECR had invited applications for 339 Trade Apprentice posts to be engaged at Nagpur Division and Workshop Motibagh. Interested candidates can apply for the posts by visiting the official website of SECR, secr.indianrailways.gov.in.
Educational Qualification: Applicants need to have passed class 10 examination under 10+2 system from a recognised board with minimum of 50% marks, in aggregate to apply for the posts.
Besides, they need to have National Trade Certificate in the notified trade issued by the National Council for Vocational Training or Provisional Certificate issued by National Council for Vocational Training/ State Council for Vocational Training.
Age Limit: The minimum age to apply for the posts is 15 while the upper age limit is 24 years.
Selection Process: The selection of candidate will be made as per the merit list.
