PM Internship Scheme
The Central Government on October 3, 2024 launched the Prime Minister’s Internship Scheme, an innovative initiative aimed at creating significant career opportunities for youth in India.
This scheme is designed to provide internships at the Top 500 companies across the country, with a goal of offering 1 crore internships over the next five years.
Selected candidates will benefit from a monthly stipend of up to Rs 5,000, along with a one-time financial assistance of Rs 6,000, ensuring support during their internship journey.
To apply for the internship, interested youth must register on the online portal www.pminternship.mca.gov.in.
After registering, candidates can fill out the application form online to access the advantages of the Prime Minister’s Internship Scheme, paving the way for valuable work experience and enhanced employability in the competitive job market.

How to Register for the PM Internship Scheme
Visit the portal by entering pminternship.mca.gov.in in your internet browser
Click on the ‘Register Now’ tab and enter your mobile number in the ‘Register Youth’ pop-up
You will receive an OTP on the provided number
Enter the OTP to generate a password
After your first login, update your password
Create your user profile by filling out the required information
Verify your profile by adding KYC details, using either Aadhar authentication or Digilocker
Enter your personal, residential, and bank details to ensure you receive internship payments through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT)
How to Apply for the PM Internship Scheme 2024
Go to the official portal: www.pminternship.mca.gov.in
Complete the registration process by providing your personal and educational details
The portal will automatically generate your resume based on the information you provided during registration
Use the portal’s browsing feature to explore internship opportunities that align with your preferences, such as sector, location, and role
Apply for at least five internship opportunities that interest you, according to your qualifications and preferences
Candidates will be shortlisted based on their applications and the requirements set by partner companies
Selected companies will review the shortlisted candidates and extend offers based on their selection criteria
Once you receive an internship offer, confirm your acceptance via the portal
