The Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) has decided to postpone some major recruitment tests to be conducted till July 16, 2021 following the extension of the partial lockdown by the State government.

The Commission has released a notification on its official website www.ossc.gov.in informing candidates regarding the postponement of the computer skill tests.  

“The Recruitment Examinations scheduled to be conducted up to 16.07.2021 published vide Notice No.1378/OSSC dated 01.06.2021 & Notice No.1497/OSSC dated 21.06.2021 stands deferred due to extension of lockdown/shutdown arising out of COVID-19 Pandemic situation,” the notification read.

“Revised schedule of Examination will be notified shortly. Candidates are advised to remain in constant touch with the website of the Commission www.ossc.gov.in to know further update,” it further said. 

As  per recruitment calendar of OSSC, the Skill Test for the posts of Junior Librarian, Assistant Librarian was scheduled to be held on July 9, 2021.  Besides, the skill test for the posts of Combined Auditor - 2016 was also scheduled for July 9, 2021. 

Earlier on June 21, the Commission had re-scheduled the Computer Skill Test for the post of Assistant Librarian and Junior Librarian -2017 & Combined Auditor-2016 to July 9, 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic situation. 

It is noted that the Odisha Government today extended the partial lockdown, imposed to contain the spread of Covid infection in the State, till July 16  (6 am).
