The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) declared the much-awaited result of the written examination for the post of Assistant Section Officer (ASO) on Monday.
A total of 1104 candidates have made it to the provisional list for Group-B posts in the Odisha Secretariat Service and selected for document verification and skill test.
However, a large number of aspirants who claimed to have done well in the written examination but did not shortlist have now raised questions about the transparency in the selection process.
Some aspirants took to the microblogging site Twitter to express their anger over their omission and demanded the OPSC to make the result public.

"ASO RESULTS ARE OUT! shocked and saddened by the result published by @opsc @satyajitips88 the worst disease in today's world is corruption and the best remedy to cure this disease is transparency. hope OPSC will serve justice to all those candidates who are more deserving," wrote a Twitter user.
"@MoSarkar5T isn't it a complete joke in reality.where is the transparency .we believed in 5T government early bt now we see it's totally a joke after the declaration of OPSC aso result.huge huge huge corruption," wrote another user.
"Dear opsc @satyajitips88 sir, Plz ensure transperency in opsc aso result as there are several students like me who scored 230+(sebc) but not in list released tday... Plz made all the results available in public. Plz don't play with our future nd career. Hope you realised the pain," wrote a third user.
Another user alleged that the roll numbers are hard-coded, pre-decided and fixed.
"Deserving candidates are hopeless, wondering if they can ever qualify for a single govt job with this kind of corruption in OPSC, even securing 260+ didn't find their names in the list," the user wrote.
"Most hyped exam result declared. #ASO 2021 Cut Off - 230-250 2022 Cut Off - 15lacs," wrote an user apparently alleging that each post has been sold for Rs 15 lakh.
One user tagged the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) in the tweet and wrote, "There's a heavy corruption seen in #OPSC #ASO result publication 2022. The result is totally biased and the SEATS ARE SOLD.The eligible candidates are not even on the list. @narendramodi take strict action against it so that we can elect BJP in odisha 2024 elections."
