The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has issued an advertisement for the engagement of (full-time, contractual) Consultant in the Centre for Gandhi and Peace Studies in the School of Social Sciences (SOSS).
The position is initially for a period of six months, extendable further as per the requirement of the university.

Academic Consultant: 1 post
Consolidated Pay: Rs.40,000 to Rs. 60,000 per month
Educational qualification and desirable experience:
Ph.D. in any discipline of social sciences
Master's degree in any discipline of social science with minimum of 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC without creamy layer/differently-abled)
Teaching/Research experience of minimum five years in course development in Open University system.
Job Profile:
The nature of work would be engaged in activities pertaining to development of academic programmes in the Centre for Gandhi and Peace Studies offered by the university.
The job would entail writing, vetting and editing of course materials (both in English and Hindi) and assisting the Faculty in day to day activities relating to course development and preparation of audio and video programmes (both in English and Hindi).
“The post is purely contractual and person selected will have no right whatsoever to absorption/regularization in University. Only short-listed candidates will be invited for interview,” the IGNOU advertisement read.
