The Food Corporation of India (FCI) recently released a recruitment notification announcing a vacancy of over 800 positions. Candidates, who want to apply, need to brace up as the last date of application submission is November 10.

Educational Qualification (as on 01-09-2021): 

Candidates need to have passed 8th (Middle) standard. For the 'Erstwhile Ex-Contractual Security Guards', the qualification required is 5th Standard pass.

Application Fee: Candidates will have to shell out Rs 250 as application fee for the watchman posts in Punjab circle.

Pattern of Written Test for FCI Jobs

- For General Candidates: 

Written Examination Paper (Duration - 90 Minutes): The Written Test will comprise 120 Multiple Choice Questions from General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Reasoning, English Language and Numerical Ability.

- For Ex-Contractual Security Guards: 

Written Examination Paper (Duration - 90 Minutes): The Written Test will comprise 120 Multiple Choice Questions accordingly to test the ability of the candidates in the basic arithmetic's and general knowledge pertaining to basic numeracy skills i.e. addition, subtraction, multiplication, division etc., basic general knowledge restricted to our country only and basic English i.e. spelling correction, parts of speech etc.  

1. Combined Merit List will be prepared on the basis of raw scores/ marks obtained by the Candidate. 
2. All questions will carry 01 mark each. 
3. There will be no negative marking. 
2. The Question Papers for Written Test will be trilingual i.e. in English, Hindi and Punjabi. 

Important to Note

The number of candidates will be shortlisted for Physical Endurance Test (PET) in the ratio of 1:3 and will be informed about the venue of PET through, https://fci-punjab-watch-ward.in (web portal). Candidates need to keep visiting the website regularly for updates.

The Physical Endurance Test (PET) is of qualifying nature only. The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of Written Test subject to qualifying the physical Endurance Test. Only those candidates who are qualified in the Physical Endurance Test will be considered for final selection, read the official notification.
