Using sunscreen daily can harm your skin, say dermatologists

Some chemicals in sunscreen can irritate the skin, such as redness, swelling, irritation, and itching. Some people develop severe allergies with rashes and intense itching. These allergies can be caused by chemicals which are used as ingredients for fragrances and preservatives for longer shelf life.

The ingredients in sunscreen can have estrogenic effects on breast cancer cells. Some sunscreens can also affect blood oestrogen levels. Try to avoid using chemical sunscreen on your children, as their skin absorbs chemicals quickly.

5. Pain in hairy areas and pus in the hair follicles

Sunscreens come in many different forms, including gels, lotions, sprays, ointments, creams, and wax sticks. It is up to you to choose the type of sunscreen that works best for you. Gels work best on hairy areas such as the scalp or male chest. Some sunscreens can tighten or dry the skin and cause pain in areas which have more hair.
