Processed foods

Eating food items that are high in refined sugar, unhealthy fats, and salt spike blood sugar levels leading to mood swings. Health experts recommend cutting down on sugar intake as it has been linked with anxiety and depression. Processed meals can cause inflammation in the body and brain leading to mood disorders like depression and anxiety.

Alcohol

Drinking wine in small amounts may be good for your health but it's overconsumption or addiction creates trouble for your physical and mental health. Excessive drinking can trigger sleep issues, disturbed sleep, and a spike in blood sugar, more so if you drink alcohol on an empty stomach. It can also cause hangover symptoms like anxiety and dehydration.

Caffeine

Too much caffeine consumption can trigger nervousness, irritability, and anxiety. Drinking it in moderation or replacing caffeine with herbal teas like lavender or peppermint can be much more refreshing and calming.

Studies have found that people who are always on the edge or anxious should try eliminating foods containing gluten. Sometimes gluten sensitivity is also caused due to Celiac disease.

Foods high in fat

A high-fat diet rich in Trans and saturated fats increases the possibility of many health issues as well as mental problems. High-fat dairy and butter can block arteries, reduce flow of the blood to the brain, and can affect its functioning. Diets that are high in refined sugar and saturated fats trigger higher levels of anxiety.
