Bloating is a common problem that can be easily solved with simple home remedies. Feeling that your stomach is full like a balloon is mostly because of an increase in intestinal gases. The symptoms mostly occur when you eat oily or junk food or eat late at night.

Cardamom (Elaichi)

Elaichi has been used traditionally in India for stomach aches and as an anti-flatulent. It helps digestion as well as promotes appetite. It also manages indigestion and thus improves gut health. Usually, it is mixed with dry ginger powder and rock salt and made into a fine powder to form a churna and taken with warm water.

Tambulam (Betel Leaves)

A post-meal stimulant for digestion, chewing betel leaves helps digestion. It stimulates digestive juices and relieves problems like bloating, constipation, and indigestion. The effect of betel leaves is further enhanced when it is consumed in the form of tambulam, a preparation made using betel leaves, gulkand, kattha, and many other ingredients.

Ginger

Dry ginger powder or ginger slices are very good for digestion. It has multiple carminative properties and has been used in Ayurveda for hundreds of years for managing digestive problems like ingestion, constipation, bloating, and discomfort. A drink made by adding 1 teaspoon of dry ginger powder and 1 tbsp honey to lukewarm water is highly effective in improving gut health and managing stomach bloating.

Turmeric

It is one of the most effective potent healing agents that is easily found in the kitchen. It improves digestion and reduces gas thereby treating the bloating symptoms. Add dry turmeric powder to buttermilk or plain water and drink it if you suffer from bloating or any other stomach issues.

Chakra Phool (Star Anise)

The fruit of star anise is known for its carminative properties. It relieves gas and bloating symptoms. You can make a powder of star anise and mix it with honey to relieve multiple stomach issues like colic pain, stomach pain, flatulence, and bloating.
