  • Eye-nutrient rich foods

Foods rich in vitamin A, DHA, and zinc must be consumed for maintaining good eye-health. These foods help our eyes function optimally and boost vision health. Foods including fish (tuna, mackerel, salmon, sardines), nuts (walnuts, cashews, peanuts), legumes, seeds (chia, flax and hemp), citrus fruits (lemons, oranges, grapefruits), green-leafy veggies (spinach, kale), carrots, sweet potatoes, egg yolks help in improving eyesight. Water is another essential ingredient for great eye health.

  • Prioritise sleep

Sleeping heals your eyes and decreases the brain’s volume so that the glymphatic system can operate to its maximum potential. The regeneration of the optic nerve is carried out via the glymphatic system.

  • Triple 20 rule

Take breaks and practice the triple 20 rule. Whenever you are working on a phone, take breaks after every 20 minutes, focus for 20 seconds on anything that is 20 feet away or just close your eyes and place your hands gently after rubbing them.

  • Absorb natural light

Avoid artificial light or blue light with circadian lenses or eyewear. The eyes respond best to warm light including filtered, natural, incandescent and LED lights.

Be sure to follow these tips regularly for healthy and good eyesight.
