Rourkela: At least four murder cases were reported in Rourkela Police district on a single day Monday, police said. One Jagi Munda (35) of Rengal village under Koida police limit was shot dead by an unidentified man while he was asleep in house, they said.
In another incident, one Manguli Dehuri (62) died when her husband Jethu Dehuri stabbed her at village Nadiadih under Lahunipada police limits.
One Mansingh Munda (50) an ex-military man was found killed in an isolated place near his village Amurudi under K.Balang police limit.
In the fourth incident, one Rama Dhani Badaik (25) was beaten to death by a group of drunkards at Mandab village under Bisra police limit.
However, the villagers chased the gang and overpowered one Purna Oram who was handed over to the police.
