Kendrapara/Berhampur: Three persons were injured in Kendrapara and one in Berhampur district in two separate firing incidents on Thursday.
In Kendrapara, two bike-borne miscreants fired 12 rounds from their rifle at three villagers, who were having tea at a small shop at village Badapala of Marshaghai block. Of the three injured, two critical injured persons were shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital, Cuttack. They were identified as Naresh Sethi and Prabhat Nayak. Police suspect booty collection could be one of the reasons behind the attack
In a separate incident in Berhampur, two miscreants fired three rounds at K Madhusudan Rao who was sitting in an auto parts shop on Thursday evening. He was admitted to MKCG Hospital in a critical condition. From preliminary investigation, police suspect business rivalry behind the incident.
