Shravan, 2023: Know significance, dates of Shravan Mondays 

The month of Shravan is one of the auspicious months in the Hindu calendar. This month is said to be the most favourite month of Lord Shiva.

At the very mention of Shravan month, the scenes of saffron-clad Bol Bom devotees or kanwariyas walking barefoot, carrying ‘kanwars’, which are bamboo poles with two water-filled pots hanging from each side, chanting ‘Bol Bom’ come instantly come to mind.

And there is a tradition that on Mondays, during the month of Shravan, devotees carry holy water on their shoulders to the shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva and pour water on the Shiva Linga.
