Snana Yatra begins in Puri: Here’s detailed schedule of rituals that mark Rath Yatra

The sacred Snana Purnima rituals of Lord Jagannath and His Siblings are currently underway at the Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri.

Devotees from across the globe have gathered in large numbers to witness this grand bathing festival, which marks an important prelude to the world-famous Rath Yatra

The Srimandir administration has released the full-day ritual schedule to ensure smooth conduct of the centuries-old traditions.

The bathing ritual (Snana) will be followed by the rare 'Hati Besha' darshan, where the deities are adorned in an elephant-like attire resembling Lord Ganesha.

Devotees will have limited-time access to witness this special appearance before the deities enter Anasara, a 15-day period of seclusion.

With thousands expected to participate throughout the day, the temple and district administration have ensured tight security arrangements and crowd management protocols.

The rituals are being conducted in strict accordance with tradition, under the supervision of servitors and temple officials.
