The twelfth edition of Odisha Television Limited's annual convention, 'Foresight 2022-- Changing Times Changing Minds' witnessed brainstorming sessions and discussions on the theme ‘Winners & the Disadvantaged In The New World Order.’

Gracing the occasion, Gopal Krishna GSS, Country Head Market Function & Product Group Head at TCS iON discussed the topic ‘India - The rising Force In The New World Order' and said that India has emerged as a world leader in the new world order amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

Gopal Krishna stated TCS iON, a strategic unit of Tata Consultancy Services, focused on Manufacturing Industries (SMB), Educational Institutions and Examination Boards, creating multiple innovations in bringing digitisation of assessments, evaluations, business prophecies and learning in the country.

“India has the potential to emerge as the preferred destination for higher learning and scale building. With the internet penetration rate estimated to reach above 55 per cent population by the end of 2025 in India, the digitisation of education remains the topmost priority. Many e-learning porters have appeared and are performing well with the increasing number of learners enrolling themselves for online courses,” said Gopal Krishna.

“The peak of Covid-19 shows how empathy empowers the new generation technologically as through simple social media platforms like WhatsApp, Instagram and Message et al, volunteers provided health services to the needy,” he noted.

“In the pandemic, the adoption and acceptance for online education have grown multi-fold. The future is technology. Industry leaders must encourage, educate and provide the right information to all stakeholders regarding data privacy and safety,” added Gopal Krishna.

“India's GDP will grow to 8.4 trillion dollars by 2030 as per London based think tank. By the end of the financial year, India officially will become the world’s fifth-largest economy overtaking Britain with Germany at fourth and Japan at third position, respectively, are at striking distances. In the last 5-6 months bicycle sales in India doubled. This shows the growing health consciousness in the country,” he said.
