Rourkela (Odisha): A father-son duo were arrested and huge quantity of stolen electrical goods worth about Rs.1.5 lakh seized from their house in Kabisamratpally area of the city, police said today.
Sudhanshu Jena (55) and his son Manoj Kumar Jena (30) were arrested along with the stolen electrical goods on Monday, railway police sources said.
Manoj who is working as an electrician in Railway department in Rourkela had allegedly stolen the electrical goods which included lights, regulators, conductor, mains switch, halogen lights and copper wire.
Acting on a tip off, RPF and GRP raided their house and shop and seized the stolen goods. Both were produced before a local court which remanded them to jail custody.
