Amid Zeenat Aman claiming Rishi Kapoor used cushions to look taller fans recall Salman Khan telling Sushmita Sen to wear heels

Zeenat Aman and Rishi Kapoor worked together in the movie Hum Kisise Kum Naheen as a romantic pair. The movie had some very good songs although their pair did not get much appreciation. Recently on her Instagram the veteran actress revealed that during the shooting of the film, Rishi Kapoor had to take special efforts since Zeenat Aman was taller than him.

The original Roma from Don on her Instagram said, “Here’s the truth, of all the men I worked with from the Kapoor khandan, Rishi and I interacted the least both socially and professionally. In fact, in all the years that our careers overlapped, we only featured together in this one song. That too because Director Nasir Hussain had me pinned as a bit of a lucky talisman that year. Why? Because Yaadon ki Baaraat, his previous film in which I had starred, had been a blockbuster hit."

Since she was very much pleased with the success of this movie she could not say no to Nasir Hussain and said yes to do a cameo in Hum Kisise Kum Naheen in which she had one famous qawwali and a romantic scene with Rishi Kapoor. The yesteryear Bollywood superstar said that in Bollywood it is considered unappealing if the girl is taller than the man.

In her post, Zeenat Aman added, “So there we were, Chintu ji and I flirting for the camera on a russet leather couch, but for some reason, our seated positions made our height difference more strikingly apparent. Much to Chintu Ji’s chagrin, Nasir Saab propped him up on the first one and then two cushions to make him appear taller than me!”

When Salman Khan told Sushmita Sen to wear heels

Salman Khan and Sushmita Sen have appeared as a romantic pair in a few films. As is known Sush is a tall girl, taller than many of her co-stars. So when she worked with Salman Khan, it was obvious that the Bollywood superstar would look shorter than her. That is why when the two actors were working in Biwi No. 1, the director David Dhawan asked her not to wear heels.

During one of her interactions with the media Sushmita Sen once said, “When David would say on the sets of Biwi No 1 that ‘Sush, don’t wear heels’, I would come in flats like okay, no problem. And Salman would say ‘That’s a nice outfit but why are you wearing those chappals?’ I would say ‘Because you are short, I can’t wear heels’ so he burst out laughing and said ‘Go and wear heels. I’ll manage my height, you manage yours. "
