Yash exploring shooting locations in neighbouring country; is it Yash19 or KGF Chapter 3?

Rocking Star Yash is back in the headlines as his blockbuster movie KGF Chapter 2 completed a glorious year of its theatrical release on Friday. Moreover, the announcement of KGF Chapter 3 by the makers has also fuelled excitement among all. Meanwhile, all eyes are also on Yash19 updates. 

While fans are eagerly waiting for more updates on KGF 3 and Yash19, recently, a few pictures of Rocky Bhai surfaced on social media revealing Yash’s visit to Sri Lanka.

Earlier, Yash had confirmed that before KGF Chapter 3, he will be working on another project, tentatively titled Yash19. Though Yash19 got surrounded by several claims and rumours, all proved to be baseless. However, recently, reports are abuzz that Yash is working on his upcoming project. And he has finalised to shoot an extensive part of the movie in Sri Lanka.

The buzz gained momentum after a Government official shared a photo with the actor and wrote on Twitter, “Met with Naveen Kumar Gowda the Indian actor better known by his stage name Yash, recipient of three Filmfare Awards. Keen on using Sri Lanka for some of his shoots.”

If the buzz is anything to go by, Yash is exploring different locations in Yala National Park in the southern region of Sri Lanka. In some other photos, Yash is seen posing with the hotel staff.

While many are in confusion if Yash is exploring locations in Sri Lanka for Yash19 or KGF Chapter 3, some other reports indicate towards Yash19.

Moreover, reports are also abuzz that National Award-Winning director Geethu Mohandas will probably direct Yash’s next. 

PinkVilla quoted a source close to the development as saying that Yash is quite impressed with the script as it is among the most powerful ones that Yash has come across to date.

“Yash and Geethu Mohandas have been discussing a probable collaboration for the last one year. Yash was bowled over by the concept that Geethu came up to him with. When everyone was expecting Yash to collaborate with some of the biggest names from Indian Cinema, the Rocking Star is set to spring in a surprise by choosing a credible script with a respected name in Malayalam cinema.”

Further, the source also added, “The expectations are sky high from Yash, however, he has followed his heart and is on the verge of signing a story that justifies the hype rather than chasing budgets and big names.” 

Yash’s upcoming Yash19 is expected to go on floors in June and will be targeting a late 2024 release. While the discussion is at an advanced stage, the official announcement will expectedly be made in the next 30 days.
