Why was Saif Ali Khan taken to hospital in auto-rickshaw with 7-year-old Taimur? Internet clueless over post-stabbing claims

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was stabbed by an intruder on Thursday morning. While the chilling recounts of the attack on the mega-star at his high-security Mumbai residence have long been known, a retelling of the saga of him being rushed to the hospital has left the Internet puzzled.

As per the latest media reports, an auto-rickshaw driver named Bhajan Singh was the one who rushed Khan to the Lilavati Hospital in a matter of minutes. Not long after this story surfaced on social media, netizens wondered why no one from the actor’s family or his security team rushed him in an ambulance or even a car.

Further, as per Bhajan Singh, none other but Saif Ali Khan pulled himself into the rickshaw and was accompanied apparently by his 7-year-old son, Taimur Ali Khan and a caretaker. “Khan walked by himself and sat in the auto. He was profusely bleeding. A small child and one more person were with him,” Singh was quoted as saying, as per online reports.

Wild speculations and conspiracy theories soon began trending. However, by all means, it appears to be a case of misconstructed details.

Mainstream entertainment media has reported that the severity of the stabbing had even left a piece of knife lodged in Saif Ali Khan. As such, the actor’s family did not want to lose valuable time. By the time, an ambulance or car would have been ready, criticality could have grown.

Further, as far as the reports concerning Taimur accompanying his father, it could either be a case of the auto driver misidentifying the older Ibrahim Ali Khan or the latter rushing behind in a car with other family members.

Worth noting is that Bhajan Singh drove Khan to the hospital in about 10 minutes, potentially making a massive difference, and earning praise from all sections of social media.
