In an interview for a leading movie magazine back then Jackie Shroff spilled beans about his married life with Ayesha, his one-night stand, and the serious accusations from Tabu. The Tridev actor said, “I am not a rapist. I am not so hard up for a woman so I need to rape her. When Tabu accused me of attempted rape I thought it was foolish, corny, hurtful, and funny. She says she did not say it. I think it was a publicity stunt.”

Regarding his perspective towards women, Jaggu Dada said that he likes to make his woman feel like a queen and it is not just with words and gestures and one needs to go deeper. But he simply refused to accept the allegations of rape against him saying that it was a terrible thought for him.

On being called a womaniser, Jackie Shroff said, “I am not a womaniser. The word is so ugly. Name two people who have called me a womaniser. I just love women. They are gentle souls, caring, loving and affectionate.” He was also accused in those days of chasing women.
