In this interview, Shah Rukh Khan said, “In the last 15 to 20 years we may not have got women-dominated films as of yet. Those are smaller-budget films. For me it's a personal issue, genuinely a personal issue, I won’t do a film where a woman.. ya you can be sweet, you can crack a few jokes but overall a woman’s treatment in a film should be top class.”

The Badshah of Bollywood added, “As a matter of fact, most of my love stories have done well for me because I have treated women very well in my films and my storytelling often had women being treated as equal. One reason why I’m a successful romantic hero is because my girls have always been respected.”
