When Irrfan Khan predicted fate of Bollywood; netizens believe Akshay Kumar should have listened Watch

Akshay Kumar’s career has hit a rough patch. Flops are not new to Khiladi Kumar as during his initial days he had a lot of flops in a row. But now after becoming a superstar with a fantastic run at the box office for years together this rapid downfall is something which was never expected. But it seems, Akshay Kumar failed to read the changing mindset of the audience and hence continued with his old strategy of doing multiple movies a year.

But where Akshay failed, Irrfan Khan the outstanding Bollywood actor had through his vision known exactly the shift in the mindset of the audience and how they may accept or turn their back on movies in years to come. During a round table forum of actors hosted by Rajeev Masand that included Akshay, Irrfan Khan, Varun Dhawan, Rajkummar Rao, and Ayushmann Khurrana what the Hindi Medium actor said is now coming true.

Discussing what the audience might expect in the days to come, Irrfan Khan said, “Hindi audience is getting matured and they have been exposed to so much international stuff now. Now they want diversity. It was like four years back you give the audience anything they would lap up the film. And I used to say that it is such an innocent audience they are. But right now they are showing their colour and they are forcing you to you know tighten the screw, up your game”

“Films which are working today I am telling you in three years they will not be working. The people will be watching it on Netflix” he added. Irrfan even cracked a joke pointing at Akshay Kumar saying, “Inko koi khatra nahi hai hamare liye bol raha hoon.”

Instead of taking it as quality advice, Akshay Kumar said, “Yeh bata raha hoon yeh baat bolke tu kharab kar raha hain hamari industry ko." Fans believe that had the Bollywood superstar taken up the opinion of Irrfan Khan seriously things could have been different for him on the career front.
