The much-awaited web series Asur 2 has finally hit the OTT platform. Arshad Warsi and Barun Sobti are once again back in their earlier roles. The second season seems to be much grittier and is full of surprises with its novel twists and compelling plots. Apart from Arshad and Barun, other actors like Ridhi Dogra and Amey Wagh, Abhishek Chauhan, Anupriya Goenka, and Gaurav Arora have given top-notch performances.

This mythological thriller streaming on JioCinema is darker and certainly much more interesting according to Barun Sobti . Throwing light on why the sequel took three years to release, Barun said that a lot of things happened behind the scene but it was mostly because there was a change in management. Many times the anticipation or hype for a particular series or movie can go down if it is delayed for too long, however, the hype for Asur 2 continued to grow and people were always eager to know the update on the second season.

Barun believes that the second season is phenomenal and is far better than the first and is much bigger and with higher stakes this time. Talking about his character Nikhil Nair, the Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon actor said that things happen very fast in his life and this time there is an emotional arc to his character.

Amey Wagh who plays the character of Rasool Shaikh in Asur series said that the first season was about seeding and a lot of things that were planted in the first season will start unfolding in Asur 2. The second season is expected to answer many mysteries that remain unsolved and put the speculations related to these questions to rest.

Amey Wagh also confirmed that there are some unexpected surprises and twists and this season the unpredictability is double as compared to Asur Season 1. Will there be a third season? Although Asur 2 will end on a cliff-hanger, no one has the answer to it as of now.
