Actor Vicky Kaushal has been in the headlines for several reasons for quite some time now. Apart from the latest buzz claiming Vicky replacing Bobby Deol in Animal Park, he has been elevating the excitement among his fans for his upcoming 'Chhava,' in which he will be essaying the role of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj.

Vicky has been quite active on social media these days. A few days earlier, a picture of the Dunki actor surfaced in which he was seen busy in a workout session even while having a sling around his neck. Reportedly, he sustained the injury during an action scene for Chhava.

However, the secret behind his intense workout sessions at the gym has been revealed recently.

As per an exclusive report by Times of India, a close source to the development exclusively shared with ETimes that Chhava's director has asked Vicky to put on a lot of muscles for his role. Further, the source also revealed that Vicky will be increasing his weight to 100 Kg from his standard weight of 75 Kg. He will be adding around 25 Kg of body weight.

The reason behind Vicky putting on weight is that Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj was an extremely strong man and it is believed that he fought with a Tiger and killed it, the source added.

Vicky has brought in the team of Kris Gethin, known for training Vicky Kaushal and John Abraham, and Tejas Lalwani, known for training Dhanush and Sunny Kaushal.

Vicky is sweating out hard under the guidance of the celebrity physical trainers and has successfully gained the weight for his role required for the next schedule. Vicky is all set for his next schedule, which is due to start in March. Furthermore, the source revealed that he will expectedly achieve his final weight target by the September schedule. 

Well, this will certainly heighten the excitement among all his fans to see a transformed Vicky Kaushal with a strong physique.

On the work front, Vicky was last seen in Sam Bahadur which had a decent performance at the box office and garnered critical acclaim for his stellar performance. After Chhava, he will be next seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Love & War,' also starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Alia Bhatt in the lead.
