Urvashi Rautela triggers outrage as she claims temple in Badrinath Dham dedicated to her

In a nation where the film industry holds a status akin to that of a religion, few have earned the honour of having temples erected in their name. Stars like Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth have temples dedicated to them.

Now, actress Urvashi Rautela has claimed that a temple in Badrinath has been dedicated to her. During an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Rautela disclosed, 'There's already a temple named Urvashi Mandir. If you go to visit the Badrinath temple, right beside it, there is a temple known as "Urvashi."' Her statement surprised Kannan, who asked for confirmation thrice, to which she affirmed, 'Yes, the Urvashi Mandir is there.'

Social Media Trolling:

The actress was brutally trolled for her bizarre statements as fans called out her self-obsession.

“If narcissism had a face, it would look like Urvashi Rautela,” shared a user.

Likewise, another user shared, “Mahatma Gandhi: Father of Nation, Urvashi Rautela: Mother of Sanghistan.”

“Rakhi sawant can't be everywhere so they created urvashi rautela the self obsessed baddie that doesn't stop talking about herself,” shared another user.

Here’s the Truth:

Urvashi Temple in Badrinath Dham is dedicated to Urvashi Devi, the celestial apsara and not Urvashi Rautela. Urvashi Temple is located at 1.5 kms from the Badrinath Temple on the banks of the sacred Alakananda River in Bamni village.

Meanwhile, Urvashi Rautela’s statements has trigged outrage as locals are now demanding an apology, and the backlash is growing.
